Varied program and high attendance!

‘The 24 hours of Apeldoorn’ brought the paper technologists community together, where exchange and sharing of knowledge, experiences and the newest innovations in the field of ‘The paper-/board machine and paper-/board products’ where key. This seminar showed that the integration of energy aspects into technologies is increasing. On the one hand we were told about technology examples, on the other hand we learned more about major realizations such as Folding Box Board (shoe press). On the second day there was an extra emphasis on water technology and an in-depth look at evaporation with NIR and MIR. It was completed with topics like coating, winders and hardness profiles. The attendance was high with 82 participants. We would like to congratulate Peter Fisera of CF Procsim and Barry Read of The Paper Industry Technical Association (PITA)! They won the Technologie Kring Award of November 2023. They presented ‘Digital Twinning’ as a method for process control and process predictability: look into the future through modelling! There was a good and informal atmosphere in the learning community of paper technology. Networking while enjoying dinner and a drink was very much appreciated by the participants! We would like to invite you already for our 2024 seminars of the Technologie Kring: June 26th and 27th/ November 20th and 21st and hope to meet you there again.
